The week started on the road while returning from our infamous 48 hour trip to the gulf coast and back. It ends with our very first Weekly Round-Up.

CruiseNReview passes 1,000 Likes on Facebook

Wow and Thank You! In just under a month, our Facebook page has cleared 1,000 likes. The support from the travel community, our friends, and family have been unbelievable. This site is a passion of ours and to have folks wanting to read our content is very humbling. Let's head for 2,000 soon!

Cruise Prices are on the Rise

If you're looking to book a cruise, now would be the time as prices are on the rise during one of the busiest booking seasons on record for many of the world's major cruise lines. Read more.

48 Hours: Florida/Alabama Gulf Coast

Call us crazy, call us adventurous, but don't call us lazy. The CruiseNReview fam took a jam packed, fast-paced trip down to the Gulf Coast this past weekend to visit the famous Flora-Bama and other favorite restaurants and hot spots. Here's a recap of our adventure.

Taxi and Uber Drivers Feud in Mexico, triggering a State Dept. Alert

This week, the US State Department issued a security alert for the Mexican State of Quintana Roo. The area is home to popular cruise and resort destinations including Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, and Cancun. The alert centers around an ongoing feud between taxi drivers and Uber drivers that has turned violent on multiple occasions. These disputes have resulted in injuries to passengers in several of these incidents. Read why this issue is not specific to Mexico.

CruiseNReview Cruise of the Week

Itinerary: 7-Day Eastern Caribbean Cruise

Cruise Line: Carnival

Ship: Carnival Glory

Date: July 2, 2023 - July 9, 2023

Itinerary:

Day 1: New Orleans, Louisiana

Day 2: At Sea

Day 3: Key West, Florida

Day 4: Freeport, Bahamas

Day 5: Nassau, Bahamas

Day 6: At Sea

Day 7: At Sea

Disembark: New Orleans, Louisiana

Why? Bookings for Summer 2023 are filling up fast and prices are soaring. While this particular cruise is not the cheapest, for a holiday week, 7-day sailing, it's priced as well as any I've seen with a unique itinerary for this home port. Our Arkansas followers should take a strong look at this one before prices go up.

Photo of the Week

This week's photo of the week comes from Dirk Brand (@DirkBrandPC) on Twitter.

This awesome photo he posted of Princess Cruise Line's sister ships Enchanted Princess and Sky Princess meeting up in St. Maarten shows how alike sister ships are on the exterior while also highlighting the shear magnitude of these amazing vessels.

If you have a photo you would like to submit to be our weekly photo of the week, e-mail it to us with your name, the location of the photo, and the date it was taken to info@cruisenreview.com.

Photos are not limited to just cruises, but travel of all kinds is encouraged. Travel is travel no matter how far you wander.
