Royal Caribbean appears to be throwing in the towel on an attraction found on several of its ships.
In a message to travel agents, the company announced that the Sky Pad virtual reality bungee attraction found onboard several vessels would be converted to a "versatile venue for exciting onboard activities."
Sky Pad will be discontinued on March 31. It's currently found onboard Independence of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, Spectrum of the Seas, and Odyssey of the Seas.
Guests on Sky Pad would jump on a trampoline and take flight with the aid of bungee chords. An optional virtual reality experience was available for jumpers as well.
Royal Caribbean has yet to announce the specifics of the replacement for Sky Pad but indications seem to be that the current space occupied by Sky Pad will be repurposed instead of removed.
